St Johns Food Forest
An oasis in the city - a sanctuary in the suburbs. St Johns Food Forest is a mature forest garden designed along permaculture principles, practicing regenerative soil building and gardening techniques.
We hold fortnightly Saturday morning gardening workshops (from Spring to Autumn), consult in the design of edible gardens and food forests, and create eclectic garden art.
Garden Visits & Tours
We welcome inquiries about garden tours, garden club visits and collaborations with like-minded workshop hosts and educators.
Garden Coaching & Consulting services
Would you like to create a thriving vegetable garden but you don’t feel like you have the skills, confidence or time to get started? Ask us about our Garden coaching program. This program is available in the East Auckland suburbs area only at this stage. We can help you get started with a choice of these options:
a consultation visit to your place for one and a half hours ($80), to discuss your needs and provide you with a checklist of tasks and materials to get started; or
An ongoing fortnightly visit ($50/hr) for as long as you like, to give you the knowledge, ideas and confidence to maintain your garden.
Contact us to discuss which option you’d like to explore, and before you know it , you’ll be proudly showing off your harvest, and enjoying the satisfaction of providing your family with homegrown veges.
